Chris Junga has dedicated more than 25 years to serving the people of Franklin County. Born and raised in Ohio, he learned the values of hard work, integrity, and service at an early age. Chris is a proud husband, father, and stepfather in a blended family of five. His family has shaped his compassion, perspective, and understanding of how deeply the decisions made in Probate Court can affect people during some of life’s most important and difficult moments. That perspective continues to guide his commitment to serving Franklin County with fairness, respect, and integrity.

Chris Junga brings more than 25 years of legal experience representing real people in real courtrooms. He has first-chaired more than 100 jury trials to verdict and represented clients in complex criminal, civil, probate, and other high-stakes cases. His extensive courtroom experience has sharpened his judgment, strengthened his understanding of the challenges attorneys and families face, and prepared him to lead the Probate Court with confidence, fairness, and practical perspective.
Built on decades of courtroom experience, proven leadership, and a lifetime of public service, Chris Junga is prepared to lead the Franklin County Probate Court from day one with fairness, integrity, and sound judgment.
A Career in Public Service
Public service has been at the center of Chris Junga’s career. For decades, he has worked directly with individuals and families navigating difficult moments, mentored aspiring attorneys, and supported efforts to expand access to justice. Chris believes a judge should be accessible, responsive, respectful, and connected to the community. His approach to service is grounded in listening, treating people with dignity, and ensuring every person who enters the Court feels heard and respected.
Chris Junga offers the combination of courtroom experience, administrative leadership, and sound judgment needed to lead the Franklin County Probate Court. He has led public defender offices, supervised attorneys and staff, managed budgets and operations, and worked collaboratively with judges and county officials. A first-generation college and law school graduate, Chris brings proven leadership, extensive client experience, and a deep commitment to fairness, accountability, and responsive public service.
